Hi, I’m River - or formally Paulina, if we’ve met in creative circles. I’m a former midwife, paramedic, and public health advocate with over 16 years in healthcare. But more than titles, I’m someone who’s passionate about creating real, honest spaces where parents feel seen, supported, and empowered.

URBANFAMILIES is something I built from the ground up - dreamed, created, and self-funded - not just as a place for parents, but as a platform for connection. It’s my love letter to every family navigating those early, vulnerable moments of parenthood. And it’s also a space for other health professionals - doulas, midwives, therapists, body workers, lactation consultants - to come together, share what they do best, and exchange energy in a way that lifts us all.

My background spans hospitals, home births, public health projects, and infant feeding advocacy - but I’ve also lived the other side of this story: being a mother, rebuilding my life, and finding strength through creativity and community. That mix of clinical expertise and raw personal experience shapes everything I offer.

• Infant Feeding Support, offering grounded, non-judgmental advice tailored to your baby and your journey.

• Holistic Parenting Classes, blending traditional knowledge with nurturing practices for the modern parent.
