DOG FIRST AID
what's included in this class?
My background as a paramedic and midwife, combined with over 16 years of frontline healthcare experience, has shaped how I teach first aid: calmly, clearly, and without fear. I’m also trained in accredited Dog First Aid, aligned with the latest RECOVER guidelines for veterinary CPR.

I understand how overwhelming emergencies can feel — especially when they involve someone you love and can’t explain what’s wrong.
My approach focuses on:
-
Staying calm under pressure
-
Recognising when something is seriously wrong
-
Knowing what to do in those first critical minutes
-
Understanding your limits and when to seek veterinary care
You’ll receive evidence-informed guidance, practical real-life tips, and clear explanations — without judgment, panic, or unnecessary complexity.
why choose us?
And well done for taking this step.

Choosing to learn Dog First Aid means you care deeply about your dog’s wellbeing — and that matters. Over the years, while supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood, I’ve met countless dogs who are clearly loved, cherished, and very much part of the family. Just like babies and children, dogs can have accidents, sudden illnesses, and emergencies — often when we least expect them.

This course offers a modern, personalised alternative to group classes. It’s ideal for dog guardians who value a one-to-one approach, want space to ask questions, and prefer learning at their own pace in a calm, supportive environment. I feel genuinely privileged to support families — including their dogs — and I promise to provide holistic, caring, and non-judgmental guidance throughout.
